Draught proofing sash windows solves a host of inherent issues including rattling, dust ingress, and draughts. The benefits also include less noise pollution, improved sash window security, smooth opening and closing of sash, and reduced energy bills leading to a lower carbon footprint.

SLIDING SASH

Sash windows have several inherent problems,

• Rattles.

• Draughts.

• Dust & dirt ingress.

• External noise.

 

With the Prestige Sash Restorations DPS we can drastically reduce all of these.

DPS installation process (Sliding Sash):

• Remove beading

• Remove top and bottom sashes

• Scrape excess paint from frame

• Plane and refit top and bottom sashes

• Rout a 1/4 “ groove into top, middle and bottom rail of sashess

• Record and re-balance top and bottom sashes

• Supply and fit new beading with integrated brush pile draught proofing system.

CASEMENT

Casement windows have several inherent problems,

• Rattles.

• Draughts.

• Dust & dirt ingress.

• External noise.

 

DPS installation process (Side hung casement):

• Remove casement

• Scrape excess paint from frame

• Plane and refit

• Rout a 1/4 inch groove around the edge of the casement to accommodate integrated brush pile draught proofing system.

• Re-hang

DOOR

Doors have several inherent problems,

• Rattles.

• Draughts.

• Dust & dirt ingress.

• External noise.

 

DPS installation process (doors):

• Remove door

• Scrape excess paint from frame

• Plane and refit

• Rout a 1/4 inch groove around the edge of the casement to accommodate integrated brush pile draught proofing system.

• Re-hang
